Chili con Carne... mmm...

This was the first time making chili with out macaroni.
Not that I don't like it that way (Mom).
Dustin's (my BF) grandmother gave him a recipe for homemade chili and it had a lot of stuff he couldn't eat or didn't like eating so I tweaked it a little bit. Though I did convince hime to add the green bell pepper as long it was finely diced.

So here it is, and this recipe was extremely easy:

Ingredients-
2 - 16oz cans of Kidney Beans
1 - 16oz can of Pinto Beans
1 - 6oz can of Tomato Paste
1 - 29oz(1lb) can of Tomato Sauce
1 lb of Ground Beef
1 sml to md Green Bell Pepper(diced)

*add whatever other items you would like, like onions or whole tomatoes

Spices(add to your liking but this is what i used)

1 tsp of each-

Onion Powder
Black Pepper
Paprika
Chili Powder
Cumin
Garlic Powder
Salt
Crushed Red Pepper

1. Add ground beef and spices to a large pot
2. Cook beef on high till almost browned
3. add Green Bell Pepper and cook till beef is done (if you add onion cook at this point too)
4. Add Tomato Paste and mix well with other ingredients
5. Immediately add Tomato Sauce, and all Beans(with liquid)(also add tomatoes if wanted)
6. Stir together
7. And taste, add extra seasoning(usually more salt or pepper)
8. Bring to a boil, then set to low heat and cook for up to an hour, the longer the better but after 30 minutes its good to go.
Serve with crackers or whatever and enjoy(^_^)
